Josh,
A couple questions:
1) How many tracks do you think you will need?
2) Is this for solo recording or full band?
3) Budget
4) Do you want to go traditional board, maching or are you leaning to a DAW?
I have a full set up of both in my studio so give me a yell and I will be more than glad to discuss the pros and cons of both with you.
Cheers,
ABS :D
