I've been trying to track the value of my guitar (insurance, etc.) but can't seem to come to a concensus. checked the serial numbers but only able to confirm the year & the fact it was a u.s. made model. not too fancy, just one pick-up & very good condition (one or two knicks, hard to see @ that) & dead straight maple neck... my "daily player", in fact.

any help determining the value would be appreciated,

thanx :-)

You need to get it appraised for the insurance company. They won't take some figure from Ebay. I've never seen them that high. I've seen them in the $600-900 range. Most of the clowns on Ebay put huge figures on them but they rarely sell at huge prices.

The Bronco was a student model. Nothing special and not really that rare. They could be bought as a student kit with the Bronco amp. If you had the amp too the price would be higher. It was made in the U.S. in 72.

According to the Vintage Guitar 2012 price guide your Bronco should be worth between $600 and $775 if in mint or near mint condition with OHSC.You'll probably need an official estimate from a certified appraiser such as George Gruhn who you can reach at : email gruhn@gruhn.com or http://www.gruhn.com/ an appraisal from Gruhn's would mean that you'd have to take as many pix as possible of the guitar including the pots, butt end of the neck and the neck and pickup cavities. An appraisal would cost in the vicinity of $50.
