Anyone else having problems accessing the Forums? For the last few days things have been extremely slow, threads are refusing to open, and when they do there are things missing. No other website is behaving this way for me. The main Fender site is ok but also seems somewhat slower than normal.

Yes, very slow. When I'm in a thread and I hit the back button I get "page no longer valid" or something to that effect. This is my second attempt to reply to this thread. Last try I got disconnected when I hit submit. Maybe someone needs to change the oil on the server?

When I tried to use my Fender Forums bookmark today I kept being told that the "server reset before page could be accessed." It seems this happens every now and then, but thankfully, not too often. I had to open a couple new pages before I could finally get to the Forum and then it took so long, I was sure it wasn't going to happen.

But here I am. :D

It seems to work fine for me. I'm on a pretty low connection, considering how old my computer is and how far I am from the router.

I haven't had any of the above mentioned problems but I have seen the "site is down for maintenance" page quite a few times lately.

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

I was on the phone with ATT for a couple of hours last night. It seems there is a service problem. I'm still averaging about 2 mbps on a 6mbps line. I found a device on our network we can't identify. ....hmmm. wut in the hail is goin' on hair???

Holy Hell, 6 MBPS? You need a new router or somethin'. Mine is usually at 54MBPS.

The ATT DSL service is 6mbps and the router and wireless device deliver 54mpbs, 100/1000 lan. The sweet spot for this computer is around 3 mbps for high-def, multi-screen, multi-channel, multi-tasking, multi-file downlaods. The bottle neck is the ATT service. ...they're bringing a router tomorrow, but it will still only do 6gbps if the lines here are certified that high. Some companies can't provide 6mbps, but sell it anyways, this seems to be the case with this connection, we'll see tomorrow! They were here last year for the same thing, it worked for a bit, went intermittent, it got fixed and now it's crapped out again, right after the holi-daze! I guess there's lots of new computers and new stuff out there, people...just suckin' down the bits, slowing the networks, overwhelming the forums with Christmas gift questions, bargain hunting, holi-daze posting, etc. ...if they don't fix the connection to close to 6mbps, the line's getting reduced in cost to wut it can do, my roommie should ask for a partial refund for the year.

Wow, my LAN is pretty good though. It's 54 and 54. I can't remember what company we have though. But for some reason it works really good :P

I thought it was too much activity as well. There are lots of people accessing the internet and everyone will probably have to upgrade their servers/connections at their head-ends now. This has happened before though, a big case of growing pains, lol.

The Forum has been amazingly slow for me today and pages have failed to load many times. All the evidence says the issue is at Fender's end. And that means Brad will be onto it as soon as he knows about it (perhaps already) - I presume someone has told him about it...?

Cheers - C

Probably another security upgrade. I guess the ultimate in security is not letting people log in and post at all!

ahhhh, much better. ATT is here. They replaced old connectors outside, workin' good. Replaced indoor cables, workin' better. Still getting way under 6mbps, but they are working on that now! By the end of the day we'll either have 6mbps, or a lower DSL bill if they can't get this line over 3mbps, we'll see!
