OK, point taken. But the discussion seems to be restrictive in that it is being directed regards a musician's gender and no other criteria, which in itself seems to me to be sexist.
You're right there. Very "Boy's Club".

OK, so are you saying that sexism is OK? The last time I checked, this forum wasn't restricted to the 'Boys' Club' only.
I meant that this thread is something one might find in a "Boys Club". Right after the conversation about "who could win in a fight, Jimmy Page or Kirk Hammet?"

And it's OK to be Genderal (not sexsist) when disscussing attraction. In fact it's unavoidable, and nessissary for a healthy labido. It would be impolite not to notice Sheryl Crows sexy leggings after she went through all the trouble of sporting them.

It's not like anyone's forcing them to "Smell The Glove"!

Image Amy Lee, She plays acoustic guitar sometimes. But she's sexiest when behind her Piano., or wearing a blanket as a dress.

Well, I was the orginator of this thread and just wanted to respectfully put in my two cents. Firstly, I never meant to offend anyone. Prior to posting my original question I even read the rules of conduct here and made sure to watch my P's and Q's. With this in mind, I would not appologize for my post. As someone stated previously, rock and roll is about sex. Elivs knew it when his lower half of his body was blotted out. Although no one could say it, women thought that he was sexy. He helped bring America out of a Elizabethaian state of mind. Women wanted him and men wanted to be like him. This story runs throughout the saga and mythology of rock and roll. Being sexy and being musically talented are not mutually exlusive. Additioanlly, this does not mean that Iwould demean or belittle a gifted musican that was not physically attractive to me.

My intention was to celebrate female guitar players who we might view as having a bit of that sex appeal. Being sexy and being beautiful is in the eye of the beholder. That is why the question was open ended. To me, and my wife knows it, there is nothing more sexy than a talented/gifted guitar player. Perhaps this is why thousands and thousands of screemaing fans saw the Beatles at Shea. Perhaps this is why women went ga-ga over Robert Plant and Jimmy Page's bare chest.

Lastly, I am impressed with the posts so far.No one has been disrespectful to the women mentioned or has said derogatory things. If some thought that this objectifies women that is simply not true. Just because one thinks somone is sexy does not mean that they instantly become an object. Instead, that is a bit of projection or a dip into ones own issues. Just my two cents worth.

Cheers

Any guys who think Sheryl Crow is supah-hot should come to Fort Wayne. My wife's old friend Julie is a ringer, and the bars are filled with midwestern girls who look exactly like that. I'm sure we could find at least one them wearing leather chaps.
A fewl magor differences between Sheryl and the aforementioned Bar Haggs.
Sheryl can sing, play, and write songs.
Sheryl used to be a Teacher, and is therefore educated.
Sheryl's Leather Chaps still smell like leather

No, they just banned that one word. You can still say homosexual. They didn't ban every reference to the lifestyle.

Tie: Bonnie Raitt still looks good and man she can play. Check out her web site. Emphasis on great guitar player.

Tie: Runner up Nancy Wilson who co-wrote Heart's hits and plays big chords. Great videos. Emphasis on sexy.

Honorable mention: Sheryl Crow for the chaps.
