I wanted to take the opportunity to share a videosong I just completed.

I recently just picked up a new Amer. Deluxe Tele (Maple Neck) and couldn't be happier with it. Such a fine instrument! Love the S1 Switching, love the Noiseless P/U's, and even the contour cut back (actual a big determining factor to choose this model, after appreciating the contour cut in my 72 Deluxe RI).

I just recorded a song, in which I use a looper (EHX 2880) to track and dub the guitar(s) in one shot, then went back and tracked drums, then bass.

Although I usually play through a Fender Twin Reverb RI, or my '74 Vibrosonic Reverb, I fell back to the Fender Deville 410 for one half of the guitar tracks. I was playing some thick, low chords (see the opening rhythm part, etc.) and needed the tighter cleans. It did make for a good choice for the overdriven distortion part at the end though too..... love that underrated amp!

..... BTW, I'm fairly new here and didn't know if it was ok to share links, so sorry if I'm out of line. I also didn't see a sub catergory that encouraged sharing music, so chose here.... ok?

FC, looks like you've been a member for awhile but I don't remember writing this before, welcome to the Forum. Cool video, thanks for posting. There are many virtuoso's on this Forum. Two I always think of are juancarlosportillo an international artist of our own and euphoria480 a prolific riff-master of our own. If you go through past posts you will find video's and audio files from every member somewhere in all of these pages, one of the reasons I love this Forum, lol.

Thats really great. Great music, and also production. It's one thing to be able to play that, another to record it as a pro looking music video like that. Well done.

Thanks for the compliments and warm reception!

teledeluxe72: it's ironic you note the video pro-looking when the intention was to look, old, dated and nostalgic..... like a film shot w/ old, early 1900's equipment. It was shot on an iPhone video and then ran through a filter app that makes it look even, well.... crappier. But hey, thanks for the compliments!

My chit-chat time has been diminished recently due to life's little duties and obligations, but I'll make it a point to spend more free time in the Fender forums! If I get to talking about fender gear, I'll never stop!!!!!

I think it looks pro because it is done in the same kind of way that a lot of film shots that are meant to be "meaningful" and "emotional" and carry a "deeper meaning"  are done. It does look like it was filmed to look old, but I still think it just looks pro :D . Well done!
