Post subject: strange staticy sounds

There is a weird staticy sound coming from my Ampeg BA115 combo. Not sure what it is or if it is normal, since I haven't owned a bass amp or one with a tweeter or even a quality amp before. is some kind of sound normal for an amp?

sound for an amp is totally normal ( I know sometimes I'm a smartarse) :lol: Hopefully a good sound coming out of it.Is it really staticy .....or just a bit of hiss type sound?

Solid state amp correct? Could be a dirty pot or lose connection in your axe or amp.

If it's a tube amp, typically a sign of a bad tube dirty tube socket or the same noted above.
