Not necessarily better in every case of every product...

...but across the brand identity, undeniably cool and desirable.

And let us not discount, within the category of electric music...legendary.

For me it is the consistency of the product. Yes, you will always find a lemon here or there, but for the most part they are all built very well. Also, the fell of a Fender is for me by far better then any guitar in the price range. It is all personal.

I don't know if its necessarily better than the rest or any other, but its what I prefer if given a choice...

...Because
1. They work.
2. They're simple.
3. The amazing sound that can be made using Fender gear.

Because the stratocaster is the most versatile, toneful, easily modded guitar ever made? Yeah, that's a damn fine reason.

Here's another: Fender doesn't rip you off like Gibson does pricewise. You can get a high end, top o'the line Fender for under $2K. You can't even get a standard LP for under $2K. The plastic inlayed Gibson logo isn't worth that much of a difference.

Playable Necks, Comfortable Bodies, Good Sounding Hardware in the right Places, Rliability.

Fender's also has a history of recruiting beginner players. First with the Mustang, then the Music Master and lLead series, which would evolve into the Squier brand.

From the very Begining, Fender's been aimed at the working musician, not the elitists. Leo Fender wanted to make a Good Playing Guitar that was easy to fix, easy to transport, and wouldn't feed back in the worst of conditions. That "People's Guitar" Tradition has continued through-out he years and translated into a Trust other companies just can't seem to muster.

Fender never rests on it's laurels. Ever since Fender was Bought from CBS in 1985(?) by Employees of the company that were players and cared about the product, thing have only gotten better.

That's why I love Fender.

From a longtime Fender fan, they are not better but different.

So, what makes Fender better? Music. Fender electric guitars have tone, character, chime and chuck, whatever we try to use to describe it. Even Fender noiseless, which I finally had to face I don't prefer after all the effort to find one and trials of Becks and vintage noiseless and SCN noiseless, still sound better than any other noiseless anywhere near the price. It's because Fender cares about music. My reasonably priced Blues Junior and Highway One have so much tuneful tone, it makes me want Fat 50s for even more. Sure, they can overdrive and drive hard, but back of a little and appreciate how Fenders are musical instruments with the character and the consistently tuneful detail that you just cannot find anywhere else - for the price. My old Squier was loaded with tone, and my Highway One also has it - just making me want even more, the best tuneful pickups like Fat 50s and steel bridge saddles to upgrade.

Sure, you can get a PRS and be a bigshot. It costs a fortune, and has got birds and hand selected wood and whatnot. It's a knockoff of the original Fender concepts and won't have more tone.

Apologies to Gibson, but I love beautiful music. ZZtop has that driving energy, sure, but it doesn't have the differentiation in the tone, the detail, the aural beauty that Fenders have. I can play songs and get tone of almost heart breaking beauty. Listen to Zepellin or even old Cream and as great as it is, the tone is Gibson rubber, not the detailed beauty Fender puts in our reasonably priced Strats. I'm a Fender guy. That's why I'm here. Always wished BB played a Fender.

Why is a mustang better than a vette? I dont know that either is better, but i will say i love fender becuase they just feel right. I know there maybe better quality guitars out there, but for me none feel right.
