My practice today was quite enjoyable! I went over to my friend's house for the first time today because she and I want to start a little duet/possibly a band to enter our school's Battle of the Bands this year. The audition is in March, so she and I want to start collaborating as much as possible before then.

She played piano, and I played guitar, and I showed her a song I had written back in 2009, and she instantly fell in love with it. So we worked on that for almost the entire time, and it sounded really lovely with her awesome voice and piano skills, and I had a lot of fun jamming out the chords on my acoustic.

So, not really a "practice" in the common sense of the word, but practice all the same. :)

My singer tripped on my cable, which f***ed the input jack on my beloved Dean royally. I had just gotten it fixed after 7 months out of service.

Been sort of a wreck lately. Most of what I play is improv into written down riffs into a song, or Ramones covers.

Break out the soldering iron. I just soldered a jack for my Strat project. One of the easiest things to install/fix on a guitar. It's like $4 or $5 for a good jack.

I probably shouldn't admit this but I spent all day looking out the window at the snow. Our first of the season. It dident amount to anything but it was fun to look at. and I just couldn't break away to practice. I did tune my acoustic.

its funny days when I'm feeling really depressed seem to be the days that my practices go extremely well... its been one of those days.

...maybe I just appreciate playing the guitar more on days like this.
