Maybe you should talk to every guitar player thats ever lived and see why they use one for some things and one for another.

They'd also probably tell you that both your points are wrong.

Or you're just trolling. Who knows. Trololololol.

Because I like to, and that's good enough for me.
Becasue I like the sound, and that's good enough for me.

Try playing classical on an electric. (btw guitars are used for more than just head banging music, not that there's anything wrong with that music.)

Why would anyone want to play an acoustic guitar, at all, ever? An electric guitar is easier to play, more fun, 6,000 times more versatile (both on a macro level and even a micro level--within the same song), and can be made to sound exactly 100% like an acoustic if that's the tone one is after. Unless one lacks electricity, there is no reason to even own an acoustic guitar.

Additionally, recorded acoustic, unless played on a very very good sound system, causes each chord to sound exactly the same. All one hears is the collision between the pick and the strings with each strum. If you are going to play an acoustic, you might as well sit there and bang on a snare drum. In fact, the best use of acoustics is to turn them over and use them as a drum.

Strummy strum strum.

Hummm...

I'm pretty sure trolling round here is a "Sock-able" offence.

That is all.

Hehehe!

That's what Epic Socks are for! They're the practical alternative to a good sigh!

sounds to me like someone needs some more practice at playing an acoustic, you can't fake talent as easily as an electric.

Your argument seems logical. I guess that means all these guys would have been better off with a snare drum:

I like playing acoustic guitars when I do not want to pull out my electrics. I especially like playing out on my porch or by camp fires. Even though you can get a decent acoustic guitar tone with the right pedal, it never sounds as authentic as a real acoustic.

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.
