Hello;
I'm sure this has been addressed in the past but I'm too stupid too find it. But I noticed when looking at some G&l guitars that the body shape or size or something looked different than the Fenders I have been used to.
Is there a different size change in a certain year for Fenders or do I just need to either slow up on the Jack Daniels or get new glasses ?
Sorry for the dumb question Bill.

In case you didn't know "L" in G&L guitars is for Leo Fender who started G&L after Fender was sold to CBS. Anyways, from what I can tell, the Fender and G&L bodies are similar, but they look different at times due to different bridges, pickup configurations, and headstocks between the 2 different brands...

And according to all the stories, Leo Fender never left anything alone - he was always experimenting with guitars and amps and how they worked.

That's why they have patents.

they are def. different, i have owened a couple of ASAT's and they are cool, but not a tele. I would like a will ray ASAT, i do think they are pretty smokin. The pick up configuration on them is rather interesting. Leo really did do alot to keep to electric guitar growing and changing!!
