Nope sorry. The rules is the rules. It's a shame there isn't a buy sell section here for members.

That particular issue was so popular and there was such a huge demand for it that it was reprinted around 1975.I have a copy of the reprint issue,it contains no advertising or articles not pertaining to Jimi.

They should make a new magazine dedicated to Hendrix. It's amazing what I tie I feel to a man who died 5 years before I was even a twinkle in my dads eye.

Okay. So glad I asked first.

The reprint was a good idea, but the original interview is only 3 pages. Not much to build an entire issue around.

When you look at the music world as represented in the whole of the issue, it's really amazing what an artist like Jimi was doing. In context, he was on new turf everyday. It wasn't like now where guitar has been broken down to a science with a whiz kid on every corner. If you ever wondered what it be like to send a modern player back in a time machine to the rustic days and see what effect he'd have on people, he's close to that. All his contemporaries were traceable, but Jimi was just... where'd THAT come from? You can't find his precedents.

I always felt that way about I Am The Walrus, too. There is no musical precedent for it. The most original song I've heard.

There is (or at least was) a magazine dedicated to hendrix... "Experience Hendrix".

I have every issue of the Experience Hendrix magazine except for the first one.The mag was put out by the Experience Hendrix organization that is being run by Jimi's adopted so-called step sister Janie hendrix.I haven't been looking at the magazines for a long time but I think that only about a dozen or dozen and a half were printed and that was followed for a short time by a digital format of the magazine but that was phased out after a few months.

BTW Jimi only met Janie a couple of times and on his last call home to his father didn't even remember her name. She somehow gained control of the company from Jimi's father before his death and now continues to get maggoty rich living off the fame of the man who hardly knew her while Jimi's natural siblings live in near poverty.Needless to say in keeping with this I only download pirated copies of Jimi's music as I begrudge her every cent that she gets while his real family gets SFA.
