For small clubs and practice I have my Roland 55 Jazz Chorus combo (Amp and chorus is stereo), for a little more power I use the Marshall 8100 100 watt head with 1960 A & B cab. To get my point across I use the Marshall 150 watt AVT head with the 1960 A & B cab but if I want my guitars to sing it has to be my all tube 30 watt Peavey Delta Blues 115 combo with one of the 1960 cabs for extention. Now if I want to rip the walls down it must be the all tube 120 watt Peavey Triple XXX 212 combo with one of the 1960 cabs for extension, but that is just me!! 8)

Good to see your post KC, all of those rigs must sound great Bro!

I have an Evans handmade combo solid state amp. It has a knob called "Scruff" that adds a little bit of warmth to the sound - similar to the breaking up of tubes. I use this amp mostly for jazz guitar, but it would probably hold up well for other styles. The reverb is excellent and the sound is very deep and wide, close to that of tubes. I would recommend checking out the Evans line.

I had a Roland Jazz Chorus 90 and recently did some work on a friends Fender Ultra Chorus (name changed to Ultimate Chorus in the mid 90's) and the Fender Ultra Chorus just sounded better to me.
