I've been off cigarettes for about 6 months now and the Rickenbacker fund is building up except for a minute of weakness where I took about $50 for a few sets of strings, guitar polish and a Vox Amplug ext. speaker cabinet. So I'm pretty confident that there will be a Rick driving one or more of my Voxes before this year is over.I believe my first choice will be either a 360/12 or a 320/12-George and John 12 strings respectively,of course both will have to be equipped with toaster pickups. If a 320,325 or 350 comes along for the right price I won't turn away from that either.

The only Ricks that I've seen here have been the low end 620 model and the new 360/12 both with the high impedance pups whereas I want toasters for that Beatlesque sound. My best bet for price and proximity even though it's in the U.S. is Pick of the Ricks in New Jersey. They have one of the largest selections of Ricks in the U.S. probably in the world. I've checked out some of their prices from time to time and they are very very reasonable.

I'm hoping to be the proud owner of a 360/12 in Fireglo in the next month or so through an old school friend that I buy Guitars through. He has to order them through Rosetti in the UK. I'm just getting to the end of paying off a Gibson Les Paul Traditional and then it will be onto the Rick. :)

Hey Torresfan that's cool and that's the colour 360/12 I have in mind but I'm hoping to get the pre'65 reissue one with the symetrical sharp cutaways and the toaster pups.Toaster pickups are an absolute must. You'll have to post pix of your puppy when you get her.

I will be only too happy to do that, if I can put the Guitar down long enough to do it. :D

Good luck with the fund - hope it lets you get what you want.

For me personally, the worst thing about Ricks is that Pete Townsend didn't get all of them...

But that's just me..

Just quit myself, but I suspect my fund will fuel a new keyboard - some sort of digital Hammond clone. I couldn't possibly justify yet another guitar. Not when my existing organ is so puny..
