Since the biking weather is over except for the hardcore here in Maryland, I started swimming indoors at a club nearby.
I am having a blast and the new goggles I got make it so much easier to swim.
After a workout I hit the hot tub for a while.
Only thing I don't like is the locker room - yuck!

They do have a swimming trunks dryer machine which is very cool. Just drop it in and it spins the water out of it.

Can't wait for spring, though.

The walk from my office to Penn Station in mid-town Manhattan is slightly over a mile. I do that at a fast pace four days a week. Then there's the usual free weights and body weight routine that I've been doing for some time now.

I've been going to the gym during my lunch break since last March. 4-5 times a week, alternating between running on the treadmill and free weights.

Hardcore cyclist I guess is how you would describe me. Only the nasiest storms stop me and I commute 22km by bike to and from work. As long as you dress for the weather, you are fine. I live in Halifax Nova Scotia and the weather here can be adventurous.

I walk to the fridge to get another beer and sandwich  . Just kidding, I'm going to start back on the local walking trails next week when my schedule settles down a bit.

You are the man! It must get below zero in the winter where you are.
It's the logistics of it that keeps me from going out when it is cold. 45F is my lowest I'll go out.
Wearing so many regular clothes layers makes it really uncomfortable to ride my drop handlebar bike. I sweat like crazy from all the layers, and then I am drenched. Which isn't good thing in the cold if I break down and need to stop for any length of time.
How do you change a flat in 0 degree weather without getting frost bitten?
Doesn't the road salt tear up the finish and components on the bike?
I guess it can be done but I don't have the know-how. Sounds like fun though.

I lug gear around. Sometimes up and down several flights of stairs. Many
times from a few blocks away. At other times I use a portable treadmill and
do stretches somewhat like pilates.

I've got an athletic dog who gets obnoxious if he doesn't get enough exercise, and I live in a small apartment. So we walk 5~7 miles a day -- a couple of 2+ mile walks out in the surrounding neighborhoods and a couple of short 1/2 mile walks around the apartment complex. On rainy days or if I'm sick we slack off to 2 miles, but he goes nuts if we do that for more than a couple days in a row.

We walk briskly not leisurely, though we pause frequently when he finds some stinky thing he wants to sniff. Sometimes we jog for a couple of blocks, occasionally we'll run as fast as I can chasing squirrels.

Plus a couple of sessions of tug'o'war. He's a 65 lb pit so those give me a pretty good workout.

I ate a large double fudge Blizzard from DQ today. How's that for exercise?

I swim a few times a week and do yoga. That seems to keep me in pretty good shape.
