The one I like best is the last one I bought, which wasn't all that long ago either BTW. Not sure what it's called. It's jet black and just says Beatles on the outside. It's a huge, huge album. There's gotta be like 13 or 14 discs of music in it.

I would say revolver, and the rest after that. I also like a bootleg album I have of the " Let it be" sessions, ( it's NOT let it be naked ) it also include a rough draft of " Teddy boy" from McCartney 1st solo record.

It would be impossible for me to pick a favourite Beatles album as each one meant something special to me and each one contained songs that I loved equally.

To me, all The Beatles' albums are great in their own right. But there's something special about Abbey Road. Their last recorded album.

"Something New" was the rock and roll bomb. John Lennon was gifted with one of the greatest male rock voices of all time and on this album it ripped on "Slow Down." In addition to that cover there were the flashes of pop writing brilliance from Len/Mac with "And I Love Her," "If I Fell" and "Tell Me Why" which combined probably scared leading pop writers of the day half to death and surely shook the Brill Building all the way to the basement. No overproduction, little overdubbing. Just raw talent.

"Sgt. Pepper's" was the only one I bought two copies of the vinyl when I wore out the first one. Can play it both sides all the way through without skipping a single cut. A tad overproduced but tastefully so.

"White Album" was more like a greatest hits album in that it goes in so many directions at once. There is something there for everyone to like and hate simultaneously. "Rocky Raccoon" for example I hated. "Blackbird" I love and "Good Night" is gorgeous.

While maybe not the critics choices, those are my 3 faves and I could never pick only 1.

Hmmm because I grew up in Canada but got the british LP.s sent to me by my fantastic adorable grandmother I have a hard time whenever this question comes up. The releases in Canada were quite different from those in England and at times the States, in fact we had a few LPs that weren't released in either of those countries....granted they were repackaged tracks left off of American and British releases but still it can muddy the waters so to speak. Not until Sgt. Pepper's did the track listings on Canadian Lps match up with those stateside and British releases. So to pick a favourite hmmm it's a tie between rubber soul, yesterday and today, revolver, and magical mystery tour.

Toss up between Abbey Road and Revolver. If "Strawberry Fields Forever" was included on Sgt. Pepper, that would have been the easy winner.
