Hello to all. I'm new here so forgive my stupid/silly questions in the future. I recently picked up the guitar again. I used to play many years ago but it just took a back seat to many other things in my life. Now that I have much time on my hands I figured what the heck. ....

Greetings and welcome to the forum. As I always say when I'm instructing... the only stupid question is the one NOT asked. Cheers.

Hey there Duster, how's it going? Curious, does your handle have anything to do with a car?

Welcome Duster.

And don't sweat the questions - even the smartest and most experienced here occasionally have to seek an opinion or get a sanity check!

Have a good time here.

hahaha.....yes sir, I used to drag race a 73 Duster for years....but the faster you go the more it cost to maintain so on to something a bit cheaper.
I'm partial to blues. Right now I'm down to a Squire Strat and another brand. I'm still mad at myself for trading a Tele (that I love) for something else. The wife thinks I'm a little crazy because I do tend to trade a lot. In the last year I must have went through 6-7 trades.

Someone should start a thread, "Gee, I wish i hadn't of gotten rid of that." Then we could all go there and bellyache and groan our blues away. No, I'm not making light of anyone, I've got sad stories too.

Howdy Duster, Sounds like your in a similar situation as some of the rest of us. I played for years and gave it up, what a mistake . Now that I'm retired, and have the time, I'm learning all over again. The help you can find here is limitless. All you need do is ask. Normally you'll be overwhelmed with ideas and suggestions. Don't be surprised by the occasional smart a#$ remarks, there usually all in fun. 8)
----Danny,
