Just wondering: Other than guitars, amps, etc. what do ya'll collect for a hobby?

I've been working on a Ray-ban collection... I've gotten three pairs right now (one being a pair of American made Shooters) and I ordered a fourth pair (Clubmasters) through the mail...


I just hope they come in on time... my past few times I've gotten stuff through the mail its taken forever...

Parts.

I ordered a whole bridge assembly, loaded pickguard, set of Gotohs, strap buttons, and a neckplate with screws, all within one hour. My project will be done in the next couple weeks.

Other than guitars and amps... antique fruit jars. I got the bug to collect these glass artifacts when I lived in northwest Connecticut in 1973. We lived in a very old house and I found a few in the attic, then started digging in bottle dumps and one thing led to another.



These are OLD jars - Civil War vintage to late 1880s - not blue Ball Perfect Masons. The main reason I love old jars is the same reason I love old guitars, somebody used them long before I got my hands on them. These old jars meant life or death when it came to making it through a long winter in the 1800s.



There are thousands of different antique fruit jars. I own about 500 nice specimens, mostly quarts and half gallons, and I have them displayed several places in our home, though most are carefully boxed in the attic. I haven't bought an old jar in years, though. I spend most of my "disposable income" on guitars and amps these days.

I seem to collect zippo lighters....more like I I getone as a gift but don't refill the lighter, so friends just buy me a new one...I have about 20 now

I'm not sure about collecting, but I have some CDs and some records and some books.
