Kudos to you guys for getting your granddaughters interested in music-especially guitar-at such an early age.

Good move, grandpas. They are off to a good start. I have been looking at the same Squire for my grandson (the "Blackie"), especially since it would look just like the Strat I have.

I got my neice this one for Christmas. She wanted something Hello Kitty or pink. Well I couldn't find a pink mini, so I gave this one the Buddy Guy treatment. Added some hello kitty stickers to. My girlfriend made the strap. I added a set of Rose pups, a complete copper shielding job on the inside and under the bridge. New pots, switch and jack. I had the fret ends touched up and a proper set up with 10's. If she is gonna learn, I want her to have something nice to learn on. If things go well next Christmas I'll get her a bullet strat. Then in a year or two a MIM like uncle Krab's.

My daughter keeps flip flopping between wanting to be a drummer or a guitarist so I've been hesitant to buy one but I need to jump on it next time she flips to guitar. I'd love her to play multiple instruments so I'm not too concerned but I want her to be excited about her first instrument.
