That's going to look great John and I love the Buick.
I've never been a HotRodder myself but I do admire them.
What are your thoughts on Rat Rods?
You see, I'm working on a "Rat Rod" finish for one of my guitars.
For instance, when is rust acceptable?,dents?
They all seem to have nice shiny lights etc. Just thought I'd ask.

More Hot Rods please.

"ratrod" is kinda a dirty term around old school rodders, the ones we've seen are poorly executed and unsafe. But you could go with the vintage hotrod look, take the 32 pick up, That was built in 1962. and ran in primer while dad was in high school trying to save for paint. my henry j is a primer car also but has shiny flames.

A look at the hood. Something like this would look great on a Stratocaster IMHO

Yeah gotta have the flames, but I'm thinking I'll have them showing through from a previous layer (era) with a flat black top coat.
By the way, she's an acoustic Resonator, so it should suit the theme of a pre-war car that has been hotted up in the 50s/60s style.
Very interesting
Thanks John

Great shots! I see the connection. Fender fans have a taste for classic cars too!
