Nope, it means you're drinking water flavored with his remains.

I think it does. From all the contexts i've heard the phrase used in, that's definitely what it means.

Could it mean putting your mouth or lips right in physical contact with the actual chrome plated brass fountain outlet? As in a drinking fountain like you would find in any highschool. If this were the case it might mean someone greedily sucking up every last drop or some such conjured vision.

(fountain-head)

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

Fountainhead: noun. The headwaters or source of a stream.

It was a compliment that you are listening to a man who is the beginning of a branch of the blues (single line lead, electrically played with awesomeness!) straight from the man who started it all.

When you listen to Mr. Christian, you are drinking from the fountainhead of the school of music he began.
