wow time has flown. Not to toot my own horn or anything, but in this past year I have really developed into a skilled player. So thank you Fender, because of your wonderful guitars my playing has not only increased but so has my passion for music.

I like to read posts like this. Congratulations . . . be it one year or three. It sounds you have a great level of appreciation for your guitar. I just got my Telecaster and just started to learn guitar. Thanks to the good people on this forum, I have picked up some good tips and advice.

I remember my first strat! Mexican made Fender Strat... Sunburst... Maple neck... No matter how long I don't play it for, each time I pick it up, it's in tune for some reason... It's great! The thrill of your first guitar (even though I had no idea how to play it) is amazing and starts a life-long love for not just guitar, but music in general. I got it when I was probably 14... I put a huge MTV sticker on it... and I had the band "The Presidents of the United States of America" sign it. Anyone remember the song "Peaches" or "Lump"? They also did "Cleveland Rocks" for The Drew Carey show... Good times!
