Doesn't Aretha have pancreatic cancer? :?

That is a good question Floyd. She denies it. She had some health crisis last winter around the holidays which led to hospitalization and surgery. After losing a lot of weight, she has resumed performing. By all accounts whatever happened to her was somewhat of a wake-up call she took fairly seriously. Since the "National Enquirer" broke the pancreatic cancer report and since it has been over a year and now she's back to touring again, I'd have to believe her side of things. People in the hospital for P.C. in fantastic physical condition (and Aretha isn't) don't live another year of quality life or go on tour scheduling dates 16 months later. Here is her 2012 schedule so far:

MGM Grand Theater At Foxwoods in Mashantucket, CT on Friday 12/30/2011 at 8:00 PM

Radio City Music Hall in New York on Friday 2/17/2012 at Saturday 2/18/12 at 8:00 PM both nights.

Harrah's Casino Tunica in Robinsonville, MS on Saturday 3/3/2012 at 9:00 PM

Fox Theatre in Atlanta, GA on Monday 3/5/2012 at 8 PM***

EKU Center For The Arts in Richmond, KY on Saturday 4/28/2012 at 8:00 PM

That is just the first quarter! Doesn't sound like a dying lady to me.

***As one of the original "Save The Fox" supporters back in 74/75 this concert will be one of the things Alex Cooley, Maynard Jackson and thousands of we "little people" obviously saved the Fox for. If you've never been in the Fox Theater and you live withing 600 miles, it is a must see wonder of the South worth the drive even if Aretha isn't the attraction you go to see. Tours of the theater take place daily. The Fox is my all time favorite live music venue. Seriously, you gotta see a music show in this place and Aretha would be a killer introduction to the Fabulous Fox.
