----Danny,

Also, it's hard for me to believe it's been almost 2 years since we lost Jay Reatard :(

Hubert Sumlin gone. Not many of the old Delta or Chicago bluesmen left anymore.

Merry Christmas to you and your loved ones, Rhumba!

Yeah, gonna miss a lot of them, Clarence Clemons, Amy Winehouse,
Hubert Sumlin...

It makes us realize how vulnerable we all really are!

Good post Miami Mike . . . I lot of good talent has left this Earth. Perhaps it can be up us to create new history though! I know there are a lot of talented folks on this Fender forum!

Yeah! Merry Christmas to you as well Mike and a great new year.

There are others too not featured like, Gary Moore and Keef Hartley and probably others I can't think of just yet. They all brought something individual into the music world and enriched our lives.
They will always be remembered.

And 2011 isn't over yet. So there could be some additions. Sadly.

Rick Nelson 12-31-1985.
Otis Redding 12-10-1967.

Just two December losses. The year isn't over yet.

Thanks for posting this memorial.

I saw Pine Top Perkins in Houston in the late 80's. Amazing.
Also lost recently was Dobie Gray - Gimme the beat boys and free my soul....

RIP to all.

And Etta James is on a respirator. What a talent will be lost there.
