I read in an interview with Billy Gibbons that a constant in their recording technique helped create their readily identifiable sound.They use an old 100W 18" Celestion that has a specially built cabinet so that when it's set up it's pointing at the ceiling.The cabinet is heavily insulated which I guess contributes to that muffled thump the drives the backbone of their sound.I can't remember the magazine but it was quite a few years ago now.Some day I'll have to sort and catalogue my hundreds of guitar,music and recording magazines.

Sometimes it is actually good to excape the real world a while and get rid of all of the harsh crap and stupid junk that goes on around you. I guess some ppl don't care and make the internet suck pretty much too.

...Anyway. I've been playing Just Got Paid quite a bit recently. In fact, yesterday I bought a new brass slide for the very purpose. Frankly, the Reverend Gibbons does it a lot better! :lol:

I'd have to agree with Hop on this one, nail on the head. I didn't know ZZ Top were releasing a new album, thanks to fellow forum memeber Alanssaab, I have just about everything they've recorded to date. I'll be keeping an eye out for this, cheers for the heads up SA.

There are tiny little ear mite traps (they look much like a bear trap) that you can buy for them. The problem is trying to set the traps and then stake them out properly in the dog's ear.

Also, you have to get up very early in the morning to check the traps, because the mites will chew off their own leg to escape the trap if they see the sun coming up...

You won't find anything absolutely effective for the mites unless you go to the vet. Hope you solve that problem. (you thread killer, lol)

As far as Luds goes, if the things on your mind were guitar related, you wouldn't have these problems.
