i only read half of it, and i actually agree with you, i hate people who take advantages of there disabilities. but please, dont say you want to be in a wheelchair or have some sort of visible disability. it #$@*&!% hurts like hell, and having those advantages like getting money from the government, not doing stuff that others do, i, and im sure a heck of alot of more people arent proud of that

your not alone there, the doctors are suggesting i have a type of paranoid schizophrenia, havent diagnosed me though. i start getting unwanted thoughts about another stroke happening, and then my mind decides to play games on me and actually make the right side of my face feel heavy, localised headahe, de-realization, all the symptoms of a stroke, except nothing is physically happening in my brain. thats what the pyscologists/doctors think anyway, i think something serious is gonna happen to me. its not death i fear, its living with a worse physical disability than i already got, which some would say, is worse than death. most of the time i really struggle to read, comprehend what people are saying cause of extremely strong thoughts, im focusing on them rather than the outter world. i dont see things, or hear things. i hear my thoughts being repeated, but i dont actually hear them from my ears

but yeah i understand what your saying, i reckon the world just needs to recognise that people are disabled and give em some space, i hate it when people try to feel sorry for me, and try to make a positive vibe about it. that just makes me feel worse

But what if d-o-g,is actually spelled c-a-t?
Or if 6 turned out to be 9?

Seriously guys, this is an internet forum about music....do you think all of us here are in great physical condition?...do you think none of us here do anything for anyone else?
Do you think we haven't thought about knocking the hell out of some jerk in a wheel chair, when he needed it for treating people like crap?....but we didn't.
Go create a blog somewhere...

I'm 16 years old, almost 6'1, and 250lbs. I own a machete, and shave 3 times a week. This genuinely frightens me.

Here, once again, we have The Kids discussing their various maladies, mental and physical, sharing with the world what the world really doesn't care to hear. I went through years of PTSD after Vietnam, but I'm not about to render a page of drivel about how awful it was. Please take the time to grow up and, in the meantime, share your emotional misgivings with your peers and your parents, not this Forum.

Thank you and Merry Christmas!

Who else is excited about the new ZZ Top album?

With Rick Rubin at the helm, it should be killer. I read where Dusty plays some guitar (not just bass) on a track or two...

I can't wait!

PS--I am trying to derail this thread.

When does it get released? I remember hearing a track from it on the radio a while back and assumed the album was already released. I don't rush out to buy anything these days. I take a year or two to think about it, except for guitars, amps and gear.
I'm a professional thread killer. My posts have been known to put people to sleep!

Somewhere I found an early picture of the ZZ boys playing in Piedmont Park in Atlanta in the early '70s,Billy has slicked back hair and Dusty has a short beard...I'll try to find it and post a link....I'd like to hear Dusty's guitar playin'!

I miss the ZZ Top of the 70,s. They were waymore interesting back them. Dusty on guitar might be cool.

I loved ZZ back in the 70s! I can still remember heading for my favorite fishing hole at dawn, just as the sun was peeking over the lake, with ZZ Top pounding out La Grange through my weak (but loud) car stereo system. Them truly was the days!

According to Guitar World, it's just the three Boyzz recording live in studio for the basic tracks...the last time they did that, it was the glorious 1996 disc Rhythmeen, which is the most criminally underrated disc of their catalog--perhaps most underrated disc by any band ever. If the results of that great album are any indication, we're in for a good treat for their next disc...

Dusty supposedly adds some six string to a gut bucket version of Willie Brown's (yes, That Willie Brown) 1930's song, "Future Blues"...I have heard them play Future Blues in concert and have a couple of live bootlegs of them performing that tune, so I'd like to hear what they do to it in studio...there's also a new song called, "I Wish I Was Born A Mexican" on the disc (that should endear me to the Mexican in-laws a little more :P )

GW also showed a pic of Billy playing an SG in studio, which intrigues me. He's played every type of guitar known to man, but I've never seen him play an SG...the snarly, crisp, woody tone of those axes would be a treat in the Right Reverend's hands...Have Mercy!

If y'all haven't read between the lines, I'm a HUGE ZZ Top fan...this disc is coming after a LOOOONG nine-year wait, since 2003's Mescalero.
