Its always been a scary place, no less so in the past. North Korea is a desperate place

to be for the average joe. So many dream of escaping to the south. Even China is a better place to be now and thats saying something.

A re-unified Korea ?
- China wouldn't stand US Bases at their border
- Japan wouldn't stand a major economic competitor at their door
- South Korea wouldn't afford financially a re-unification as they saw the disaster of Germany's one (financially I mean)
North Korea has no oil, so who cares....

One of his sons (and a probable successor) is a huge Clapton fan.

Sickening to see the elite "have's" of the country, who have all profited under his evil regime, all weeping and moaning at his passing.

I have a feeling the poor sod on the street with nothing will not be feeling so sad.

Only problem with this is that his passing probably won't change anything, there'll be another deranged despot ready to take his place.

Clapton turned him down when he wanted him to do a concert there. Probably figured they wouldn`t let him leave. But I think the main problem now is we have his son in place and much younger, with many years of unrest and threats to other nations ahead of us. The story just keeps getting worse.

Never fear - he has at least three (legitimate) sons. I'm sure they'll keep up the family tradition! Booze and nukes - one of my favorite combinations! Yee-haw!

It's cool if they go out of business, but only after I'm legal, so I can stockpile.
