An aging hippie told me about how he played guitar outside of a Walmart not too long ago. He gave me the most incredible advice I've ever heard.

"Don't be so quick to judge the way someone plays, no matter how young or old, because everybody's playing has soul. Some people's soul just moves at a different speed, some people's soul is louder, some people's souls aren't pleasant as others', but everybody's playing has soul."

And he walked off into the distance. Never saw him again. He was just a cool old man and I respect him highly.

Even he has soul. It just sounds the same every time.

Not sure if it's true, but his advice changed the way I see people.

I agree. Today's kids are terrible. Why the hell did "emo" even become "cool"?

I hate em. It takes me everything I have to not kick their asses. They brag about being disturbed and complain about day to day life when most live relatively sheltered lives with rich families. It's attention whoring at it's finest, tbh. That's how it is in my school at least.

emo's not that bad, if they know how to channel it, I've gone through an emo phase, then, I didn't play as much, and here recently, I would have, but I had my guitar(now guitar's). but what "society" portrays as emo, in my opinion, is wrong, emo is short for emotions, they have an issue expressing their emotions and are over powered by them.

[color=#FF00FF]that's what really gets to me, and around here, there are too many cocky mexicans. the wannabee's are worse than the real thing. Society is going down hill, i wish I could live in the 50's to 70's era.

and I can relate to this too.
society as a whole sucks now. i've decided to just not go with society's ways, and just me the best me me can be (:

Ahh, but the kids complaining about money are the same ones blowing hundreds of dollars at Hot Topic on the weekends. That's one of the main reasons I can't stand em. If they'd get a job, they'd have no financial problems of their own and would stop straining their parent's wallets.

Also, I do want to be able to live in the 60s or 70s. I don't agree with so much that's happening in today's society. I fix computers, but I wouldn't mind people relying on them less. They do everything for people now.

WHAT? Get a JOB?!?! Who would ever DREAM of such a thing!! People now are scared to work. Even the adults. Everybody just wants $@!& handed to them. it makes me mad.

Life without computers would be so much fun. as mush as I love my computer and my phone, I could easily live without the both of them. there would also be less fat people without them.

I mean, I've had a job since I was 14. I started as a janitor. Also, kiddies, read Fahrenheit 451. It covers a lot of stuff we've discussed in this thread.

theye really need a teen chat area on this forum.

Speaking as a 16 year old, no we do not.

An old hippy once told me I have "Gorgeous curls" and that she liked the colour of my "chucks".
She then said "Don't let your brother eat that pastry he's buying".

SK, I admit that they had soul, but I don't personally like them still.

I mean, soul doesn't take talent. It takes pouring everything you have into something.

If you put everything you have into washing clothes, your clothes washing has soul. It's just my perception of what "soul" is in other words.
