Hello all, Happy Holidays!

So I will (hopefully  ) be adding an egnater tweaker to my lineup on 25th, and the one drawback of this fine little amp is the lack of effects compared to my Fender G-Dec Junior. Therefore, Ive gone on a search for my 2 favorites, delay and reverb. Do they exist together in one pedal? I cant find a single one haha and I'd like to get them both together. If I need to break down and get 2 different stopboxes, c'est la vie, but I'd love to get it all in one. Suggestions? Benefits? Drawbacks? Models to chose from?

Thanks in advance, and Happy Holidays once again!!

Big Jay? Is that you, man?
If this is really you let me be the first to stretch out my shakin' hand and say welcome back, buddy. We've missed ya.

If you're new to the forum and we've never really met before I apologise for my exuberance.

Kewl....
Oh, well. Maybe he'll come back some day.

As far as delay and reverb in the same pedal I think you'd have to go to an FX processor to attain that. Maybe a Line-6 pod or one of Digitech's units. I used to have an old RP7 about a hundred years ago and it would do all kinds of mutlipe FX simultaneously. Wasn't a very good pedal for OD or Distortion, actually none of them are very good at that IMO, too artificial sounding but they often excel at time based FX.

My rack mountable Ibanez DM1000 has delay and reverb all in the same unit.Try looking into the Electro Harmonix pedals for something with delay and reverb in the same unit.Look especially into the Memory Man Deluxe or the Cathedral reverb.

Hi BJay1435: those two effects tend to be towards the higher end of the price range in most stomp box maker's catalogs (Boss and the others), no doubt for some reason to do with electronic gizmology that's above my paygrade to understand. So I guess the manufacturers mostly feel they'd like you to pay twice if you need both flavors, rather than pushing them together into one convenient package.

However, there are some exceptions. At the bottom end of the price scale the Behringer Digital Reverb/Delay DR400 is very affordable and, as the name suggests, claims to do both.

At about ten times the price the Eventide Space unit offers a long list of reverbs and delays - and pitch shifting, modulation, tremolo and more into the bargain. A Rolls-Royce box with a Rolls-Royce price tag.

You'd think there'd be a few in between those extremes, and maybe there are. But I can't think of them. For less money than the Eventide you could get a full multi-FX floor unit from the likes of Boss, Vox, Digitech or Line6 - and that may end up being a good option for you.

Any help?

BMW, the Big Jay you are thinking of posted just the other day in the Strat Forum - an impudent little thread pretending to seek people's views on tonewood. He then disappeared back into the ether as fast as he'd arrived and the thread sank out of sight, after doing it's intended task of separating the tonewood obsessives from those who "got it".

He's done that once or twice before since his original grand departure from the Forum. If you can't quite wait for his next meteoric pass through our solar system he is to be found regularly appearing on FaceBook. If searching you'll find him amongst the Friends lists of Nikininja and others. I've a notion he may even be on my Friends list if you want to look...

Cheers - C

Hi guitslinger: EH was the sort of direction my mind had turned in too. I don't own one, but on checking out the spec sheet the Memory Man Deluxe claims to be just delay, the Cathedral pedal just a reverb.

Finding the two in one box was harder than I expected...

Cheers - C

Thanks for the heads up on Big Jay. Just for fun I think I'll go resurrect the tonewood thread.

I would look but I have no way of knowing how. To the best of my knowledge Tim Drake is the only member I've seen publicizing his FB page and in truth I don't think it's his personal page but more of a fan page or the like.

I'll PM you. I expect we shouldn't advertise people's real IDs on a public forum.

Though frankly it never ceases to amaze me how Fender Forum users manage to track me down in other places - which is fine and welcome. :D

Cheers - C

I own a combination delay/reverb pedal called the Boss RV-3. It's unfortunately out of production but can be had used on ebay for around $100.

It's an excellent-sounding pedal and does exactly what you're looking for.

The current Boss reverb pedal (the RV-5) unfortunately does not do delay.

Cool pedal and...

That video should be required viewing for anybody who wants to know the difference between reverb and delay.

Yep nice little demo I also think we were particularly fortunate to have a three handed player who could play and adjust at the same time with such ease
