Not the best thing Macca's written, but I think it's catchy. BTW has anybody noticed, war ain't over.

That's the most putrid, vile thing ever, that song. It makes me want to gag every time i hear it. McCartney should have been ashamed to release that drivel

Think about how boring it would be if everyone liked/disliked
the same things...

You got that right Mike, granted it's not the best thing he's ever done but there's certainly alot of worse Christmas songs out there!

It's ok in my book I guess. The synth's on it are just a sign of when it was released.

While we're talking about it, I was never a big fan of the Beatles' "You Say It's Your Birthday" song either.

I'm not a fan of The Beatles at all. Highly overrated imo.

Well, they had some good songs. But I just think if they were going to write a birthday song, they could have put a more thought into the lyrics: "You say it's your birthday, happy birthday to ya" (repeat).

Any time you write a song for a big celebration, whether it's Christmas, birthday, Halloween, whatever, it has the potential to hang around for a long time and get used year after year. Take Bobby Pickett's "The Monster Mash." Now there's a holiday song that's stood the test of time...

right on, they're not nearly as good as the unoriginal untalented underrated groups of today.

They just weren't that good. Tbh, they didn't do much for rock music.

The Jimi Hendrix Experience did more. The Beatles may have laid the foundation, but Hendrix built the house

Also, most of The Beatles' songs sound the same to me. Where's the energy, the actual solos, the talent?

Not really. They both started around the same time, both had a lot of songs, but one just happened to be better in the end.

I knew you'd bring that up. Tell me, where are The Beatles covering Hendrix? I can't find anything from them. Where is their skill now?
