Next to a strat I think an SG with P90 pickups sounds fantastic with some Fuzz.

I have a 60's Tribute with P-90's, no fuzz required. Just a nice tube amp and a volume control.

I hear you. Yea, nothing compares to that overdriven tube tone, but sometimes there is the urge to go over the top and just put that fuzz pedal at full fuzz and go crazy. I guess its just me.

:D :D

I'm with 63 Supro, there's something about P-90s that just sounds so much better when put through an overdriven amp.My choice would be a Blues Jr. or a JCM 800 master volume.

I have to agree, it does sound phenomenal. How much did that pedal run you? Because that is one of the best tones I've heard from any pedal.

I have to agree. To make it sweeter I have a 2011 SG Jr with a single P-90, 1 volume and 1 tone.

It was $195. I was lucky enough to get a few of the first runs and the pedal is now out of stock.

Gasp. That's a lot. I should get the JHF1 instead. It gives such a wild tone. (I looked up demos of many fuzzy wuzzies, and really liked it. Plus, I'm a sucker for hammertone paints in blue)

P-90's IMO are one of the best sounding versatile single coil pups out there,

+1000000000 x3

I have a P-90 in the neck position of my Telecaster, a set of Pete Biltoft Vintage Vibe SP-90 pickups in my Stratocaster (P-90 shrunk to fit in a regular Strat-sized pup) and now I have the Epiphone Limited Edition Special P-90 I recently bought.

Great for blues, rock, punk...in the bridge position they can get twangy for chicken pickin'...awesome for slide...they work well clean, overdriven, distorted or fuzzy...awesome pups!
