Quality is meh because we just halfarsed it with Audacity, and he had to censor because his niece was around. Also, I think I was a bit sloppy, but nothing too bad.

Song is Sovereignty by Japandroids.

What do you guys think?

Very cool, Floyd.

I don't know the original version of the song or the original band, but I like it. It's as good or better than a lot of stuff on the radio, and it definitely has a cool "indie" vibe.

I would listen to other similar recordings without hesitation, so please share anything else you come up with.

I give it two and a half thumbs up (out of three thumbs...it's a weird genetic mutation I don't want to talk about).

PS...I would have commented earlier, but for some reason the video would not play on my iPhone, so I had to wait to get home to listen. As soon as Steve Jobs dies, my one Apple product starts flaking out.

I definitely want to do more acoustic recording with just me and him, I always like the results

I'm also starting up a garage band in the vein of Coachwhips, Ty Segall, Pink & Brown, Reatards etc with a bassist and drummer. Basically just going for a sloppy, pissed off, crapass noise sound there. :lol:

We should be able to get going with that as soon as I can get singing WHILE I play. I already have a few guitar parts written for it, so I should have some of it up soon

I'm REALLY excited to get going on that new band

Also, we had one original up but we decided to take it down because it was a really rough version with joke lyrics. We'll be doing an updated version soon.

good playing and singing my friend....my 2 cents (often told) turn down the sensitivity on the mic and you'll be amazed at the difference in the recording output...keep at 'er :wink:

Yeah, we were both sitting really close to it and it's an old mic so it came out loud. We actually actually had to edit a few points in the vocal recording because it was too loud :lol:

Get a Behringer KX1200 and get an elec/acous guitar and run a line in for both. Shouldn't be too hard to rig and the quality will be better than 2 people on the same mic at the same time. The Behringer should be no more than $250. It's a good PA system too.

I liked it, as regards to PAs, you could probably do better for your money than behringer.
