now, I play, but I'm not very knowledgeable about the mechanics of the guitar itself. I was lookin' at some pictures of Telecasters, and noticed some had 3 pickup's, mine has 2, what does this mean, and why the difference?
Please excuse the ignorance, like I said, I play, and that's about it...

Thanks?

Glad that you asked, I would guess it has some thing to do with the sound produced when picking the strings at different places between the bridge and the neck of the guitar. Some members of this Forum would know a better way to explain the differences in number of pick-ups a guitar has, perhaps one of them will. :D
You're definitely not ignorant :D , Big Blonde Moments happen, funny way to put it

I love blondes. The older and taller, the better.

Like 55 years old and 6'5"? :P

Nurp. She's 16(beat me by 5 months) and 5'6. We went roller skating together and she got her skates on before me and was about as tall as me. Good day though. I can't skate for my life, so she let me off the rink early and I was showing the young kids how to play Galaga. (I was taught by a pro, my mom) None of them had ever seen level 6. They were stunned. I got to 12 before I ran out of lives and quarters.

but if you never ask, you'll never know..

Where I work we have a saying that translates to "don't ask stay stupid". We use it to engourage young newcomers too ask those who are more experienced, if they are not sure how to do things and working in a aluminum smelt, being ignorant can turn deadly for you and those around you.

I guess that the moral of my story is don't be afraid to seek knowledge. You learn as you live.
