Make You Feel Better by RHCP. It's pretty much a straight up pop style perky song. Does the trick for me.

For me some songs that snap me out of whatever mood I may be in are :

Voodoo Child - Jimi
Honkey Tonk Women - Stones
All My Life - Foo Fighters
Just Breathe - Pearl Jam

That's just a few. The first 3 put me in a good mood. The last gives me perspective.

Eyes of the World is always a good one to lift my spirits. I mean how cool is it to "Wake up to find out that YOU are the Eyes of the World..."
Here is a version form the GD Movie, and one of my favorites.

Check out the guy in overalls at 0:17, think he found his happy place? :D

"Shine A Light" by the Rolling Stones.

In 1992, I had hit a personal low point in life. Spiritually, personally, professionally, even health-wise. I was driving home very early in the morning after working all night, and I was listening to the cassette of "Exile on Main Street".

I crossed over a high bridge, the sun broke free over the eastern horizon just as the opening piano chord (played by Keef!) rang out...I was overwhelmed that a song recorded when I was two years old would hit me so personally when I was 22 years old.

Later that week I dumped the girl who was taking me "bad" places emotionally, told a few false friends where to get off and rekindled my friendship with the future Lady Armadillo. Things got better, and that is one of my favorite songs to this day.

May the Good Lord shine a light on you,
Make every song you sing your favorite tune.
May the Good Lord shine a light on you,
Warm--like the evening sun...

Beautiful story. I guess another for me is Would? by Alice In Chains. I used to hang out with some bad people too. I'm sort of over being bad now though.

Take on Kate Bush's pain to help you forget your own..

"A Coral Room" from the Aerial album.

If you don't have at least a lump in your throat at the end of this, then you're already far beyond pain..

My go to song is Voodoo Child (slight return) by Jimi Hendrix,it just blasts the winter doldrums away.

I agree, guitslinger. It's so summery and rhythmy.

I've been letting Do You Wanna Dance? by The Ramones keep me sane lately.
