Musician's Friend has them for $119, and you would get a warranty...so it's not a terrible deal, but it's not a good one, either.

Hi 52henryj,

They have been as low as $100 new at GC. I agree with Screamin' Armadillo, not a great deal. But, $100 is about the going rate for a used one on eBay.

Are they worth it? 5watts and all it just looks like a bunch of fun to play with.

I too am interested in this thread. My local shop has one new for $92. I have been wanting a tube amp, and this one is small enough for bedroom playing. I have been debating Fender's Champion 600 1X6 (then souping it up) VS. Vox's AC4TV 1X10.

The two I played were pretty good, but somewhat anemic, even for a 5 watt amp.

I had an old silverface Champ that ran circles around these things, tone-wise...but try it out for yourself, because everybody's style, picking technique, etc., makes things sound different...what works for me doesn't always work for other people, and vice-versa.

I'm still really wanting this amp but I'm gonna go to my local Fender dealer and see what he can get me one for. After reading that thread it just looks like too much fun not to get. Damn musical addiction and all :)

Another cool C600 thread. Search the forum for "Champion 600" or "C600", there are lots of threads.

I have the Vox, it's a cool amp and has a power attenuator built in to take it from 4w to 1w, or quarter W. You can play it on full volume on the quarter watt setting without alienating everyone around you 8)

If you run that little amp through a bigger speaker cab, you'll be amazed by what you'll get out if it. :?

..and they take pedals extremely well.

I love mine. I can't get very loud where I live, and in fact even a 5 watt amp is louder than most people think.
