I hate to split hairs here but read product descriptions. One has a Tele bridge and the other has a "Hardtail". So no, not all Telecasters without whammy bars have a hardtail bridge. Also some Telecasters have Stratocaster Tremolos as well as Bigsby.

Thanks all for the warm welcome, and the feedback.

As for the bridge, hardtail for me is fixed bridge. I mentioned that because I am not sure what bridge variation would be possible with Teles. I have seen some with Bigsby, which is not to my liking, and I do not prefer the bridge on Strat either. As 3 of my guitars are floating trem type, I prefer this one to be a fixed bridge.

I prefer not to have a beginner guitar, since I had those, and have sold it off as I progress in my guitar playing/learning.

MIM Tele does sound good. What about MIJ Tele? Is there still one produce? or have to go used?

MIJ Fenders are generally expensive because they rival the quality of the MIA guitars, so if you can get a good deal on any MIJ, get it.

I don't know what was the best thing before sliced bread, but I think my American Deluxe tele is better than that too!
