Al Anderson !!! I sort of met him in the late '60s when my mother almost hit their van in the sprawling metropolis of Plainville, CT. Geez, I loved The Wildweeds.

I guess the most interesting musicians I've ever met are down here in South Florida. Guys like Albert Castiglia who was the guitarist in Jr. Wells' last band, and blues rock guitarist Michael Locke who has since relocated to Ohio. Lots of stories to tell.

Hey you guys theres more than corn in Indiana !!!!

as a matter of fact we are loaded with Blues festivals all over the northern part of the state and they are small enough that I have had an opportunity to meet and talk music with a bunch of very cool old blues guys.

being so close to Chicago does have its good points too, we get some great talent visiting our area all of the time.

and now that I am getting closer to being an old blues guy, I really appriciate them and their contributions to American music.

B.B. King he was still mackin on the ladies just a few years ago. Jimmi Vaughan was also really cool. We talked about having the same last name and how a lot of people just dropped the "a" in Vaughan and turned into Vaughn. We decided we could be related ha.

Miles Zuniga from Fastball. Very funny guy. Loves the ladies and Woody Allen. He's younger than me and when I knew him he couldn't get into bars with all the lovely young ladies. Later, once he got to gigging around town, he made up for it.

victor bailey taught a seminar when i was in college, i got to take a lesson from him on thoery, and hang out with him , he was a super nice guy.

I also wet Pete Anderson after a Dwight Yoakam show. We talked guitars, and amps for like 10 min, then other fans showed up, but the cool thing was he reashed out and around them to shake my hand, and say thank you for coming to the show. it impressed me a whole lot!! He is a big influence on me

Most admiradble musicians I've met is the band Pendragon and their original drummer Nigel Harris(an old friend of my fathers). They're are a realy talented band, and tour around parts of europe :D

Also the singer/bass player from a band called Neo. Who randomly came and stood behind me after their set at Riffs Bar. So I said hi :)

If I could, I would love to meet Rush. Their music inspired me to play guitar, so it would be cool to meet them... One day perhaps :?

For me it was Florence LaRue, one of the founding members of the 60's & 70's group The 5th Dimension. I met her in 2005, and she was so nice, down to earth and personable. She really seems to appreciate her fans and is still an excellent performer.

(I guess i'm not to fond of it either.)

Some of you guys are lucky blokes.

Isn't Izzy Straddlin from Indiana? Didn't he quit G'n'R and move back to there to just chill out? His first solo album was actually pretty good.

All of his albums are very good and very raw.

I got to sit and talk with Marc Ford (formally of the Black Crowes) and his son Elijah after a show in Annapolis MD. he was very cool and gracious and down to earth. He was headed back out to LA for a record release party for Ryan Bingham the next day, he produced that album.

Also met Patterson Hood (Drive By Truckers) outside of the 9:30 club in DC. but just a hello.

I met Dimebag Darrell briefly at a Dallas Guitar Show in 1998. He was signing autographs for fans. I was never really into Pantera too much, but I'd seen him in guitar mags a lot and my friend really dug his music so I got him to autograph a couple of pics for me and my friend. He was really down to earth and funny. He signed my pic "High" instead of "Hi". Go figure! After his death, his autograph has become one of my most prized possessions.

I met Duke Robillard at a local Guitar Center. He was a judge at the "King of the Blues" competition. Also spoke with him at a local blues jam. Really nice guy...
