I posted a thread just 2 or 3 days ago that Deep Purple is coming to town in Feb. Today there is a rumor going around from a "Very relaible"source that none other than Tom Petty is coming to town.Whenever people have posted threads asking what performers people would like to come to their town I've always said Tom Petty.I ain't gonna miss that one for sure supposing I'm in a full-length body cast.

My brother in law's brother is part of the security team that's working the venue,I gotta ask him how to go about getting Tom to sign one of my Voxes.Tom said in an interview some years ago that his holy grail guitar is the Vox Astro IV Bass Model V-273 with built in fuzz,bass and treble boost plus a G-tuner.Well who should have one of these rare little beauties but l'il ole me.Now I gotta find a way of getting that info to him.

Details on the St John show should be confirmed on Monday according this article...so it does look like Tom Petty will be in your neck of the woods.

Tom Petty is coming to Dublin in June next year and I've got a reliable source getting the tickets for me. Also, when I heard he was headlining the Friday night for the Isle of Wight festival in the UK in June next year, I ened up spending £600 on tickets for my family for the whole festival. Pearl Jam and Springsteen headlining the other two nights. Throw in the Ferry tickets and the entire Festival is costing me €1000 but it's worth it.

So I get to see Tom Petty twice in June next year. I've only been waiting 22 years to see him. He's the main man in music for me.
