Today is the 70th anniversary of the Japanese attack on the United States Naval Base at Pearl Harbor. I would like to offer a special thanks to all of the allied personel who sacrificed and or perished in World War II, including my grandfather who was a bombardier in the Pacific theater during the war. Thanks for defeating the fascists in the west and the fascists in the east. Your sacrifices will never be forgotten!!!

My father was one of three survivors on a ship that was sunk. I can`t even imagine what they went through and I`m a Viet Nam Vet myself.

that was a tough time. I had a conversation with Paul Tibbets when he visited UTA back in like 03 i think. he was a really nice guy and a great story teller. I sure couldn't have done what he did........ there was allot of bad stiff in those years.

On 7 December 1941 my father was already an aerial gunner in the US Army Air Force assigned to classified detached duty with the RAF Coastal Command in England, flying ASW missions against German U-boats. The very next day, the secret program was suspended and he and all other US personnel were stood down and ultimately returned to the US for reassignment to USAAF units.

God bless all Americans who served in the Territory of Hawaii on that day.

Arjay

December 7, 1941: Although I was not yet born . My Dad was soon to be stationed at Pendleton Field, Where he met my mom. Sometime in 1943, He was sent to the Pacific, where he served on Saipan. I, like so many other kids of that time in our history,
never saw my dad, until after the war was over. Some never did get to see there dads or moms. I say "THANK YOU" to the ones that that are still among us. And "GOD BLESS AND KEEP", the ones that are not. :(
