The RRHoF has been as insignificant as Rolling Stone's annual "top 100" list for many years now.

We know who's famous and deserving of accolades.

+1. I've been there once. I walked in and the first thing I saw displayed was an outfit Britney Spears had worn on her most recent tour of that time. That set a bad tone. Then I found the Hendrix section and realized I own more Hendrix stuff than they have. The strat they had hung on the wall they claimed was his I'd have to challenge their definition of ownership. Maybe he touched it once in a studio.

Once again why I pay no attention to any of the Awards of whatever kind...

Please...Please.... Nominate me for some Award...So that I can have some self worth....
Nauseating...Is what Best describes these Awards and whatever else Popularity contest....

Base an award on the actual merits of the nominee in his/her respective field in the Arts then I'll tune in but as far as the Rolling Stone, People's Magazine drivel...... :roll:

since its all about money I think they should start having a public vote. but the only eligible voters will be teenagers between 16 and 19. that way we would get only the best truly deserving musicians in the list :wink:

The ones that belong there, are forever immortalized in our minds. Do we really need a hall of shame to tell us who they are? I think about my HEROS every day, and a lot of them never will see the so called (R&R Hall Of Fame).

i was at the hof once. they had some garcia guitars and some cool other things, including a doors exhibit.

when abba made it in, i sent them an e-mail telling them to remove me from their mailing list. they did, and i have not set foot back in there since.

it is an absolute joke

Any entity that does not acknowledge Rush's longevity, album sales, and influence on many many bands and players is in and of itself hogwash.

Unfortunately the joke is on us. The R&RHOF is for tourists nothing more. There are some rock and rollers that have been inducted but only because their contributions to the genre are so huge the sissy's running the attraction knew if they didn't acknowledge them even the tourists would know it stinks in there. This is the 5th such thread at least (the Fender Forum has been in existence almost 5 years I think) as every year a new member comes to the realization that the R&RHOF is anything but. Long live DIY artists because the "Business" doesn't suck anymore it blows. :lol:
