Man,I can tell I'm lazy by reading all the posts of people standing to practice,if I was practicing with a band yeah, but just sitting at home running scales and chords....I sit back watch football with the sound down and just play.

I prefer to stand, but when I do sit, I use a hard, flat seated, plain old chair with no arms. One where I can keep my feet flat on the floor, and my thighs parallel to the floor.

Stay seated, my friends.

I have an acoustic/electric. I used a kitchen chair until recently and then began to practice standing up. What a difference! I like standing up better, but I must be doing something wrong when standing. My mid to upper back begins to get sore after 30 mins. I'm going to keep adjusting the strap and see if that makes a difference.
