Odd that you would get a PM from someone without at least an intro thru this Forum on a thread.

My Take on this is I would not answer back, it just seems off so the internet is a great way to gain info from unsuspecting replies.
You don't know who is on the other end, but more to the point what is their capabilities as far as navigating behind the scenes or as a Hacker.....I'd Beware...

I have received two different PMs from people who were not members of this Forum, but the messages came through this Forum. Both involved pictures that I had attached to my posts.

The PM you got sounds like it's from a guy who bought a guitar on eBay, hasn't got it in what he considers too long a time, so he wandered onto this Forum, saw a pic of your guitar, thought there must be only one guitar in the world like the one he bought, thought it was yours and thus the eBay seller was selling a guitar he didn't own, thus a fraud.

Don't respond. Just let the guy work it out with his seller through eBay. The buyer has all the power on eBay now and multiple ways to get his money back.

+1

If it's a troll scamming for info, you'll only "feed" him. And even if legitimate, there's absolutely nothing you can do to help him resolve his Ebay issue.
