The Swiss Family Robinson and Gulliver's Travels are timeless classics.

I read a book many years ago that was a true story of 3 service men who spent over a month and possibly 2 in a rubber life raft in the Pacific after their plane went down or boat sank-I don't quite remember which but one thing I do remember was the bravery, faith and perseverance these men showed.I wish I could remember the name of this book because I'd certainly love to read it again.

BTW there is one more thing that I found unique about this book was that at the end the men thanked the company that made the dinghy for making such a fine leakproof product as they wouldn't have survived without it.

Lord of the Flies ( William Golding)
Life of Pi (Yann Martel)
Cold Skin (Albert Sánchez Piñol)

The 3rd one is really spooky.

Cheers

Hi Arjay,I do believe that's the book although the title doesn't ring any bells the scenario certainly seems that this could be the one.It was an excellent and moving book and now I have it put on my Christmas list. Thanks very much for posting.
