I'm considering turning my current build into a lefty.

Lots of left handed people play right handed-gary moore, mark knopfler etc I think. And then theres Hendrix.

I'm a lefty, I just never liked playing a left handed guitar. Always done things right-handed. I find that having your writing hand on the fingerboard just feels so much better. seems my reflexes are much quicker in my left than my right, which works out much better for playing.

Although Jimi played a right handed Strat it was strung for left handed play.Jimi could have afforded left handed Strats but prefered having it inverted because having the vibrato arm and controls up top allowed him to do pull offs and Hammer ons while depressing the vibrato-something that couldn't be done with the standard vibrato position. With the pickup switch up top it allowed him to change pickups with his forearm while playing without missing a note.

BTW some left handed guitarists played a lefthanded guitar turned the left hand way but strung for right handed, some of them were:Albert King,Dick Dale and England Dan Seals. I have my lefthand Strat strung for right handed and find it very comfortable to play that way.

I had a Strat and could do pull offs and such while in the middle of some hot trem action. The way I did it (this may sound weird) I put the tip right on edge of my palm, next to my wrist and gripped over the back of the guitar. I'm not sure if I was descriptive enough either. If I had a Strat, I'd show a picture.
