I've spent most of this evening looking at posts on this Forum. I was looking for the "What Ya Reading....." thread and discovered how many wonderful members have not posted in so long. I am disappointed in myself because when I joined everyone here welcomed me into this family of musicians which inspired me to be the best bass guitarist that I have ever been in my long and colorful musical journey. I forgot Rhumbas birthday, forgive me Bro things changed so much. Happy belated Birthday. And I have forgotten many others which I never meant to. Gratz, I hope your restaurant/lounge is keeping you a happy guitarist. I won't mention all of the lady members user names that we had back then, but you are all missed greatly as you kept this Forum balanced and warm hearted. Wilbur, my thoughts are still with you. All of the others too. Ceri, I know that you don't want us to think about those times too much, and I'm sorry but every thread practically was fun and informative (Forum members have had tiffs but even those exchanges were friendly back then lol) . RIU555 my fellow SAHBster thanks for staying around and Niki and Triskele and TGS and, Alan if you are still jamming with Snowy give him a hug for me. Claude I hardly ever see your posts anymore Bro. I can't go on, if I mention all of the Brothers and Sisters that I miss, this post will go on forever. Just one more remembrance, Ceri when you posted pics of you and Doc those years ago that was my first chance to see Forum Bros from 1000s of miles away actually having some fun together, great pics of a very important meeting thanks again. Things change and approaching 100 or so pages they sure did. There I've said it.

Mr Solarcaster, you too, are one of the elite on this board and
always look forward to reading your posts, but don't always reply
due to time constraints, but keep on keepin' on, bro!

Hi SBLS: not quite sure what you're refering to there? Assuredly you and I never had a tiff? I definitely don't remember it - to me it was all fun and informative, just as you say. :D

Ah yes, that was such an honor and pleasure!

And SBLS, far as I'm concerned you are absolutely one of the great guys round here and very much the heart and soul of the Forum. If you are ever over my way you will be so welcome for a get together with me and several of the others from hereabouts: don't be a stranger! And whenever life brings me in the Chicago direction I hope it'll be OK to look you up: I'd look forward to that so much.

Anyhow. I'm not going to name the absent Forum users that I miss because I might forget a name or two by mistake, and I don't want to put one above another. But while there are those that are sadly not posting anymore there are plenty of excellent arrivals very much with us - I won't name them either, but if they even think they might know who they are then they are surely right and their presence is muchly enjoyed and appreciated! As well as those who've been here all along.

It's a bonny life if you don't weaken. 8)

Cheers - C

Ceri, as usual I try'd to get too many words in a sentence. My thought was in those days sometimes a Forum discussion might find a few members disagreeing about something but it was amicable and Brad would butt in from time to time as well. The " I know that you don't want us to think about..." part was reference to your wanting the Forum to progress, get better and, so not dwell on the past. You and I haven't disagree'd ever and there is a reason for that. You are wise and old and I'm just old so I just like to talk with you and, of course, pay good attention else I might not learn as much about guitar building and repair as I have :D
I am planning to visit you Bros in the future but don't have date set and when you come to Chicago you'll have a bass guitarist (me) at your charge from the moment you arrive lol.
Yes indeed we have had the good fortune to gain new members that are excellent and I wish some of our absent members could meet them as well. (As Ceri wrote you know who you are and your presence is appreciated very much). Thanks Ceri, and, all of those members from 170 pages back, love to you all.

I promise not to weaken but only if I'm introduced to Bonnie or perhaps her sister :D
just kidding,
love,
SBLS

SBLS I still enjoy your post My good Friend! But recent topics by a few, not much for an adult to say.

CV, me too you Bro. You are one of the most respected longstanding members of this Forum along with Ceri, Niki, Reb, RIU, Doc, Serge, all of our Mike's and Claude and Rhumba and, well you know them all as you have stayed around very thankfully. +1 that some of the newest here have seemingly isolated themselves by posting things that frankly I don't know that responding is wanted, so, I do not.

Hey Roland, I'm still here, always been, with just a touch of discretion lately it seems. When Brad started the international forums last year, I spent a lot of time on the french side of the Fender forums. After a while, I got caught by a lot of stuff I had to take care of and you know, life. I was more lurking than posting. I recently posted a few questions on the bass amp forum though. Anyways, just to let everybody know, everything's fine in my neck of the woods.
Hey, tomorrow night, I'm going to see John Mayall, it seems that recently, these big stars decided to tour small cities on weekend and not always on a wednesday night.
A few days ago I saw the Garrett Mason and Keith Hallett blues act. Garrett won the Maple Blues Award for best blues guitarist last year. Here they are.

See ya'll.
Claude.

Claude, great to see your post and thanks for the link! Those guitar players have the blues lol. The drummers 26" bass drum is outstanding, I'll have to show that video to my drummer. Glad to know you're good and that you're helping Brad show our Fender brethren across the channel love and to welcome them into the family. Thank you Claude!
SBLS, aka,
Roland
