I am glad that Supertramp's Crime of the Century got a nod.

Someone mentioned Todd Rundgren. Todd had a side project called Utopia that had some great stuff -- heavier and MUCH more guitar oriented than his regular solo stuff. Check out "last of the new wave riders".

Also, ELO's stuff in the mid-70s should (up to the "A new world record" album) also be included. Fabulous material. I love old ELO.

Has any one mentioned Marillion?? I love Marillion ... just in case no one has mentioed them. Misplaced Childhood is one of my favorite albums of all time.

And as for Yes, check out the "Drama" album. This album is often forgotten about as it is the only Yes album without Jon Anderson on vocals. Great album - check out "Tempus Fugit".

That is actually a really, really great album! It was such a shock for Yes fans that sadly, it didn't do very well. Some excellent playing and VERY quirky! Much better than 90215!

90215 was a bit too comercial for me.
Yes' earlier albums were better, IMHO.

The Yes Album (1971)
Fragile (1971)
Close to the Edge (1972)

Those three IMHO were a very strong set of awesome creativity
and influences at an all time high. Great stuff.
Also, all before my time, but I do study older music.
Guessing I will have to spend time re-thinking YES

"The Firm"

A British rock supergroup comprising former Free and Bad Company singer Paul Rodgers,
Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page, ex-Uriah Heep/Manfred Mann's drummer Chris Slade
and bass player Tony Franklin.

I always liked this band with Greg Rollie as the main singer and Aynsley Dunbar as drummer:

Journey - 1974 Winterland, SF, CA

Yes! Pre-commercial Journey.
First three albums.

Discovered this about a month ago. This band is the favorite thing I've heard this year so far, the sound is a lot like Tool and Opeth (the drummer is Opeth's ex drummer Martin Lopez).
