All great bands SBLS! Uriah Heep, Argent, Yes, Gentle Giant, old Genesis. Asia....long list!! (and...come to think of it...Beatles too, actually)
and now....shameless self-promotion of the "unfamous" ;O) ......

I apologize in advance for the self-promotion.....but not the music lol.
cheers!

Late to the party but what the hey. I like Australian band Karnivool. Their second album moreso than the most recent but there's still some decent songs on that one.

Great song Rob ! Thanks ! Good to see your post !

RI78, cool band, thanks I had not heard of Karnivool. 8)

I saw the keyboardist for Spooky Tooth, Gary Wright in 1976 when he toured this album. Here is the hit - Dream Weaver. More pop than progressive lol

Glad you like it. If you get the chance, see them perform live. They crank the volume up though. On a side note, frontman Ian Kenny also sings for Birds of Tokyo but the two bands have completely different sounds.

Got to love Jeff Lynne, for me Floyd is the top of the list, but here is an unusual, little known band check out a few different songs it has to grow on you. There called Marillion

In the years 1967 - 1970 this band went from cutting edge to still pretty progressive. The youngsters were catching on fast though.
