On that same Youtube page is a live performance of Phoenix from the Marquee Club in 1985.Phoenix has always been my favourite Wishbone Ash song.

Rock music is progress itself but had some boundaries. By the OP asking for rock bands that pushed those boundaries or progressed through them I thought some of the innovative bands that brought fresh ideas in their time would be posted and that has happened pretty much.
