Post subject: Guitar Case Cleaning

Hi, I recently recieved a fender case(pretty old) and pretty lightly scuffed.It's nothing deep just some white paint and marks from use.Any recomendations to clean this up well? Other than my idea of a scouring pad and dishsoap.And as for the inside it has some funk to it lol but not too bad.Id like to not make a day of it so I am seeking expert advice.Thanks a million!!!

What ever you do Remember the word (PATINA) / Dirt. to a collector its a wonderful thing. Send a pic. before you do anything Rash. You may be destroying it's potential value. 8)

yeah I thought leaving it as is but its marked and the latches have rust on it.Id like to send a pic but do not know how.

Try a paste of baking soda and water. Its a light abrasive that cleans alot of things.

I use any automotive vinyl cleaner. A little rubbing, but no danger of damage removing paint marks.
