These past few days here have been hectic, and I'm sure I was a good 85-90% of it. I don't have many words for apologies, but I don't want to post in a war zone any more. I'm sorry for starting useless E-drama here (Stickers, politics, religion, etc) I'm sorry for attacking many forumers, many of which I did not know. I'm sorry for the ridiculous responses. I'm especially sorry to Rebelsoul, as many of our arguments spilled over to a few more threads and we both said hurtful, idiotic, things to eachother. I'm sorry for being such a ninny, or a twat, or an idiot, whatever your choice words were to describe me. I'm done with the fights. I hope this community can accept my apology, as a whole. I'm just going to ask not to be judged for my ability or lack thereof. I just want the community that I jumped into back in September back.

Post your thoughts, regards, suggestions, etc.

Thanks,

James

James,I'll say this, this is a big step and I commend you for it...you really don't know me,but I'm old enough to be your grandpa and I'm very experienced in dealing with all sorts of problems in life since I've raised three sons and was a real handful myself when I was growing up.I've been a musician for over 4 decades and have played on a pro level and in dives where I barely made enough to cover my bar tab,but over all those years I haved loved playing guitar and have started many guys on their own road to a life of music...it's a great thing to do.
I've ragged you quite a bit and most of it was to get you to look at yourself and to overcome problems and to concetrate on what is important, not the crap with the other kid who is really in need of something...what,I don't know.
Seriously, learn to tune to an open tuning and if your hand won't function,at least you can play Barre chords and play slide maybe also....you can do alot more than you realize.
Sorry I gave you such a hard time, but just be real, and learn from us old guys, someday you might be glad you listened....let bygones be bygones.

The buzzword today would be " Genre " which ironically is also a french word that just happens to rub me the wrong way.

Millieu...in the plural Millieus or milllieux is social setting or environment.
But like many French words they often have a double meaning or ( Double Entendre )
Complimentary in one context, amusingly insulting in another....

Genre translates more to What type or What kind is it or What Style...Again depending on the situation it can be used to mean many things....But is similar to Millieu..

James--

You forgot "jackass" and "moron"...

Actually, this is a very mature gesture of you IF you are serious about this thread and you show it by your actions. I know you're not religious, but in the book of James (perhaps your namesake?) it says, "Faith without works is dead."

You've made an act of faith with your apology--now back it up with action (works).

Thank you for your effort thus far.

Thank you for the acceptance. I know I can do simple powerchords and maybe a couple basic level chords, but it really starts to hurt after a while. I can't move my ring finger or pinky at the speed I need to to play effectively. Both of them also lock up if I bend too far. I need some sort of system where I can use only 2 fingers, or I'll have to go left handed. (Which really doesn't feel right to me (also, the 'right' wasn't a pun) I'm left handed in everything else I do, which is kind of weird) I made one recording with a band a few months ago. I was on rhythm, but it was really good for 3 kids. I'd share it, but the BB code for links is disabled and it's on Facebook, so I'm not sure how to get it from there. We used really crappy mics though. They messed with the amps and made them squeel quite a bit.

Two words: Django Reinhardt
He was a Gypsy who was injured in a fire. Google a pic of his hand, and then listen to what he was able to do with that claw that was left over.

There are several southpaws who play right handed: Ceri (the Pasha of Peckham) and one of my bandmates are both leftys that play guitar "right" (pun intended).

I am not so quick to forgive. Live up to the words you,ve written and you will have a friend in me. Actions speak for themselves. Everyone deserves better as do you. Good Luck

Good move with the apology but don't stop there. Promise you'll stop taking shots at the IMSRV/Strat-Tele kid too. We don't need anyone giving him a reason to keep posting his crap either and you were egging him on perpetuating the crapola. Just don't respond to him at all and that will be a big help. Thank you.

Does that mean his colon has been flushed out? Now he won't be full of it?

I'm being serious when I say this. Ironic that you make a colon joke about me. When I was a baby, my lower intestines somehow got all flipped around. I was literally 'full of it' and could have died from it. Luckily my mom got me to the hospital in time and they operated and clamped my intestines back in place. I now have a 4 or 5 inch scar across my stomach (never measured it, maybe I should)
