so a friend of ours thats an amazing tattoo artist told me of i brokedown and actually played rockband/guitar hero she would give me a free tattoo.... of course it cant be too big and i have been trying to come up with one that i want for a while now... im not a newbie tattoo guy, but i am very indecided... at first i wanted a telecaster blueprint but it wont look right inless its HUGE and on my back.... my other idea was to have my favorite guitars in lefty around my arm (alternating headstock facing up and headstock facing down to avoid looking weird and empty... alternation of a les paul, telecaster, sg, jazzmaster (or jag) es335 and strat......

i dont want something totally obvious but i also dont want to to just be like hey look a guitar tattoo...oh boy...)..lol.... the blueprint idea is my favorrite but the tattoo is only gonna be like 9x9...

What about a tattoo of the (headstock only) from your favorite guitar. It sounds like it could be actual size. I have been considering this for awhile now.

what about a fretboard and strings running up your arm? I've been considering that one for a while

I considered a bass clef, and also a music bar tattoo of a blues bass line around my arm or leg...

I'll probably do neither. I can't decide on lunch, let alone something lifetime permanent. :)

The headstock sounds like a cool idea. Rule of thumb... keep it where short sleeves can cover them. One of my buddies decided he wanted to become a cop and had to have his sleeves removed by laser. It was a long, painful, expensive process. With the $$ spent on tattoos and removal, he could have bought himself the Andy Summers Tele and the George Fullerton 50th Anniversary Strat... actually two of each... one to play and one to put in storage.

There's a thread somewhere on here, I think it's called show us your tats. People show off their Fender related tats. I have a strat on my right forearm that covers about the whole forearm.

60? Thats only 12 years from now. Heck, considering how fast the last 12 years went....that'll be about 2 months from now.

Yeah, I know...time is relative.

You should do what i am doing for graphic arts. I have a yield sign (yellow diamond) with the silhouette of a black guitar covering a portion of the yellow. I have mine 2x3 inches.
